We collect personal information, such as your name and email address, when you sign up for an account on our Services. We may also collect optional information such as a photograph, phone number and role at your company. Any other optional profile information that you elect to associate with your account is referred to herein as your “Profile Information.”
We may use your email address to send you Services-related notices (including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail). We may also use your email address to send you announcements and information about other products or services (including third party services) that you may be interested in (together, the “Marketing Messages”). You may opt-out of receiving Marketing Messages at any time by following the instructions provided in the Marketing Message. Through a Services settings interface, you may also opt-out of receiving categories of Services-related notices that are not deemed by Smart Canvas to be integral to your use of the Services.
If you choose to use our invitation service to invite a user to the Services, we will ask you for that person’s email address, and automatically send an invitation. Smart Canvas stores the information you provide to send the invitation, to register the user if your invitation is accepted, and to track the success of our invitation feature.
We do not store payment information. If you are a user of any of our paid premium services, we will use a reputable third party credit card payment processing company to collect payment information, including your credit card number, billing address and phone number.
Your use of our Services will eventually involve you uploading or inputting pieces of content into them; This may include external and internal links, free text and images, team names, etc. (together, the “Content”.) You can control how your Content is shared with others.
Your content will be indexed and used to improve our Services functionality in the context of your organization.
We may also analyze the Content in aggregate and on an anonymized basis, in order to better understand the manner in which our Services are being used.
We use both session-based and persistent cookies. Cookies are unique to your Smart Canvas account or your browser. Session-based cookies last only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last until you or your browser delete them or until they expire.
Some cookies are used in order to remember that you are logged in and last action you took. Other cookies are not tied to your Smart Canvas account but are unique and allow us to do site analytics and customization, among other similar things. If you access Smart Canvas through your browser, you can manage your cookie settings there but if you disable all cookies you may not be able to use Smart Canvas.
Smart Canvas sets and accesses our own cookies on our company-owned domains. In addition, we use 3rd parties like Google Analytics and Mixpanel for website analytics. You may opt-out of third party cookies from Google Analytics and Mixpanel on their respective websites.
Some browsers have a “do not track” feature that lets you tell websites that you do not want to have your online activities tracked. We currently do not respond to “do not track” signals.

These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the Service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, mobile carrier, and other such information.
